As of Wednesday night, Democrat leaders hadn’t posted one word on social media about President Donald Trump’s historic peace deal which Hamas and Israel just agreed to.
However, Democrat Sen. John Fetterman of Pennsylvania posted a note of congratulations to Trump.
Ever since the October 7, 2023 Hamas terror attack on Israel, Fetterman has repeatedly voiced his firm support for Israel. He also lined the walls of his office with photos of all the 250 people taken hostage by Hamas, and said he won’t take the posters down until all the hostages are released.
Fetterman has kept a video of his pledge pinned to the top of his X page for the past two years.

In a statement posted on X shortly after Trump announced that Hamas and Israel have agreed to his peace proposal Wednesday evening, Fetterman responded:
“I congratulate @POTUS on this historic peace plan that releases all the hostages. Now, enduring peace in the region is possible.
“Our parties are different but we have a shared ironclad commitment to Israel and its people.”

On Sunday of this week, Fetterman had written, “Good morning to everyone except all the protesters who aren’t protesting for Hamas to accept the peace deal.”

On Tuesday, he had posted the following video message and wrote, “On this two year anniversary of 10/07, I remain deeply proud to stand with Israel. Finally, there’s a clear path to peace. This awful war must end. The free world should demand Hamas to accept this plan and free the hostages.”
