Democrat Sen. John Fetterman (PA), who has repeatedly voiced his support for Israel, unlike many of his Democrat colleagues, reacted on social media after President Trump announced the massive U.S. airstrikes on three of Iran’s nuclear facilities.
Israel has been attacking Iran, working to destroy much of their military sites and take out many of Iran’s top military leaders.
However, only the United States has the “bunker-buster” bombs capable of penetrating Iran’s underground nuclear sites.
Fetterman praised Trump for sending the U.S. military to take out the Iranian facilities.
“As I’ve long maintained, this was the correct move by @POTUS. Iran is the world’s leading sponsor of terrorism and cannot have nuclear capabilities,” Fetterman wrote.
“I’m grateful for and salute the finest military in the world. 🇺🇸,” he added.
