From People: Victoria Jones, the daughter of actor Tommy Lee Jones, was found dead on Thursday, Jan. 1 in San Francisco, according to reports. She was 34.
The San Francisco Fire Department confirmed to PEOPLE that it responded to a medical emergency at the San Francisco Fairmont just before 3 a.m. local time on Thursday. The fire department said that an unnamed individual was found dead at the scene.
The San Francisco Police Department additionally confirmed to PEOPLE that officers responded to the hotel on Thursday, where they met with paramedics and declared an unnamed adult female dead.
TMZ, the outlet that initially reported Victoria’s death, reports that in Broadcastify dispatch audio, the call for the incident came in as a “code 3 for the overdose, color change.”
A code 3 is an emergency call requiring immediate action with flashing lights and sirens.
The cause of death is not official, but foul play is not suspected, according to NBC Bay Area.
The Fairmont Hotel provided the following statement on Friday:
We are deeply saddened by an incident that occurred at the hotel on January 1, 2026. Our heartfelt condolences are with the family and loved ones during this very difficult time. The hotel team is actively cooperating and supporting police authorities within the framework of the ongoing investigation.
