The Trump Organization unveiled a new telecom venture called “Trump Mobile,” introducing a $499 Trump‑branded handset and a wireless plan priced at $47.45 per month.
Unveiled at Trump Tower by Donald Trump Jr., the offering promises customers telemedicine services, roadside assistance, and texting to over 100 countries—all backed by U.S.‑based call centers and domestically produced or refurbished phones.
Donald Trump Jr. emphasized that Trump Mobile aims to deliver a full suite of phone-based benefits for one flat monthly fee, including health consultation and on‑the‑road help. Meanwhile, Eric Trump—tasked with running the operation—reaffirmed the company’s commitment to building phones and handling customer support in the United States.
Beyond features, this move marks a major pivot for the Trump business empire, transitioning from real estate, hotels, and golf to tech and digital services. After branching into cryptocurrency and digital media, this telecom launch reflects a broader strategy to diversify under Trump family leadership. Both Trump sons noted the appeal to conservative consumers seeking alternatives to the major carriers.
“Trump Mobile is going to change the game, we’re building on the movement to put America first, and we will deliver the highest levels of quality and service,” Trump Jr. said in a press statement. “Our company is based right here in the United States because we know it’s what our customers want and deserve.”
The venture faces steep challenges: the U.S. phone market is crowded with Apple and Samsung, and nationwide wireless networks are controlled by Verizon, AT&T, and T‑Mobile. Additionally, legal hurdles loom, such as trademark conflict over the “T1” name and complex telecom regulations given the Trump‑linked FCC leadership. Still, the introduction of telehealth, roadside support, and global texting under a white‑hat American manufacturing brand may appeal to Trump’s base and drive further expansion in telecom tech.
