FROM DAILY MAIL: A Democratic representative is facing calls to give up her $1.1 million Martha’s Vineyard home after she declared that ‘we are all on stolen land.’
Ayanna Pressley took to social media on Monday to share a controversial message about Indigenous Peoples’ Day, also known as Columbus Day.
The debate to replace Columbus Day with Indigenous Peoples’ Day has divided communities and left politicians fuming over the ‘woke’ revisions to history.
Pressley wrote: “Happy Indigenous People’s Day! We are all on stolen land. And while Republicans try to whitewash American history, we acknowledge our country’s role in inflicting trauma on our Indigenous neighbors. We’ll keep celebrating their contributions, centering Native voices in our policymaking, & building a more just, equitable future.”
The statement sparked a reaction on X, with some calling on the congresswoman to put her money where her mouth is and give up her expensive home.
“You should consider giving back your stolen land then – starting with your $1.1 million house on Martha’s Vineyard,” wrote commentator Greg Price.

“So when are you giving your new $1.1 million Martha’s Vineyard summer home back to the Wampanoag?” asked conservative pundit Gerry Callahan.
Very well said.

The Mail noted that Pressley “often speaks about inequality and the rights of the poor” as she and her husband Conan Harris, who spent ten years in prison for drug trafficking, have lived in a three-bedroom house in Martha’s Vineyard since 2023.
The couple also owns a two-unit rental property in Boston, netting them between $50,000 and $100,000 in 2024, and four rental properties in Massachusetts, for which she earned “as much as $350,000 in profit in 2024,” the outlet reported.

None of America’s land is stolen.
We either conquered it, bought it, negotiated for it, settled it, annexed it, or acquired it via treaty.
