From Fox News: The Trump administration is rolling out a new app to replace the controversial CBP One app with the new replacement designed to facilitate the self-deportation of illegal immigrants.
The Department of Homeland Security is announcing the CBP Home app — which will launch with a self-deportation reporting feature for those in the country illegally.
It replaces the CBP One app, which was expanded by the Biden administration to allow migrants to schedule appointments at ports of entry to be paroled into the U.S. Hundreds of thousands were paroled into the U.S. as a result. The Trump administration has ended the ability to use the app for that purpose.
All CBP One apps will update to the new CBP Home app.
Unlike the previous CBP One App, the new CBP Home App no longer includes the feature that allowed migrants to use the app to enter the U.S. for the purpose of claiming asylum.
Instead, it allows illegal aliens in the U.S. to submit their “Intent to Depart” and then verify that they have left the United States.
Last month, Noem announced that the CBP One app can no longer be used to allow illegal aliens to board domestic flights, unless it is being used for their self-deportation.
DHS Secretary Kristi Noem announced Monday morning, “The Biden Administration exploited the CBP One App to allow more than 1 million aliens to illegally enter the United States. With the launching of the CBP Home App, we are restoring integrity to our immigration system.
“The CBP Home app gives aliens the option to leave now and self deport, so they may still have the opportunity to return legally in the future and live the American dream. If they don’t, we will find them, we will deport them, and they will never return.”

In a CBP press release, Pete Flores, Acting Commissioner at U.S Customs and Border Protection, explained, “The app provides illegal aliens in the United States with a straightforward way to declare their intent to voluntarily depart, offering them the chance to leave before facing harsher consequences. This reinforces our commitment to enforcing U.S. laws and safeguarding national security.”
Other functions of the revamped CBP Home app include:
- I-94: Apply for and pay for an I-94 up to seven days before arriving in the United States. (This is a temporary travel permit allowing visitors to travel beyond 25 miles from the border and for periods longer than 72 hours.)
- Inspection appointments: Request inspections for perishable cargo entering the United States
- Border wait times: Check wait times at the border
- Bus Manifest: Submit a manifest for bus operators
Today we’re introducing the CBP Home app offering a new critical feature, Intent to Depart. This update complies with @POTUS‘s Executive Order 14159, Protecting the American People Against Invasion.
