REVEALING: House approved resolution affirming Iran as sponsor of terrorism… see who voted against it

The U.S. House of Representatives held a vote Thursday afternoon, reaffirming that the Islamic Republic of Iran is still considered the world’s largest state sponsor of terrorism.

State Departments under both Democrat and Republican administrations have made the same declaration since 1984.

In January 2023, under the Biden administration, the House had voted 420-1 to approve a similar resolution, condemning the Islamic regime in Iran for their human rights abuses against peaceful protesters.

However, in Thursday’s vote, a whopping 53 Democrats voted NO, including all the progressive “Squad” Democrats.  The resolution passed 372-53, with 2 other Democrats voting “present”.

C-Span’s Craig Caplan announced:

372-53-2: House approved a resolution reaffirming that Iran remains the largest state sponsor of terrorism, five days U.S.-Israel military strikes against Iran began. All 53 voting No were Democrats including Iran war powers resolution co-author Khanna. Democrats Johnson (GA) and Logren (CA) voted Present.

Rep. Steve Scalise (R-La.) wrote, “We just had a vote in the House to simply affirm THE FACT that Iran is the world’s number one state sponsor of terrorism. 53 DEMOCRATS VOTED NO. By denying this basic fact, these radical Democrats are defending the murderous Iranian regime and standing against America.”

Rep. Brandon said in an interview with Fox News that the Democrats have “totally gone off the cliff.”

“53 Democrats refused to vote for a bill stating that Iran is the world’s leading state sponsor of terrorism. That’s how far they’re willing to go just to oppose President Trump,” he declared.

The White House Rapid Response team blasted the 53 Democrats, writing, “53 Democrats just voted against reaffirming that the Islamic Republic of Iran remains the world’s largest state sponsor of terrorism — something State Departments of both parties have declared since 1984. They’re sick.”

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt also weighed in. She wrote:

Just 3 years ago, a resolution condemning the terrorist Iranian regime passed the House by a vote of 420-1.

Now 53 House Democrats just refused to reaffirm that Iran remains the world’s largest state sponsor of terrorism. Trump Derangement Syndrome is melting their brains.

Journalist Eric Daugherty wrote, “US House votes to AFFIRM Iran as the largest state sponsor of terrorism, 372-53…and a stunning 53 DEMOCRATS voted against it.

“It is a FACT that the Islamic republic is the largest state sponsor of terror and Democrats are TRAITORS for sympathizing with them!”
