From the Daily Caller: White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt told the Daily Caller that California gave a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) to an illegal alien who is accused of killing three people in a major crash.
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) confirmed to the Daily Caller News Foundation (DCNF) that on Tuesday they took Jashanpreet Singh, a 21-year-old Indian national, into custody after he allegedly caused a multi-car pileup along a highway in Ontario, California. Singh entered the country illegally during the Biden administration in 2022 and was later released.
Leavitt told the Caller that California granted the illegal alien a CDL, which is needed to drive tractor trailers and buses in the United States.
“As for this case in California, on Oct. 22, ICE lodged an immigration detainer for this individual following his arrest by local authorities in California on charges, as you know, of manslaughter while intoxicated and driving under the influence. He killed three people and he first entered the United States in 2022 through the southern border, he was released into our country by the previous administration,” Leavitt also announced during a White House press briefing on Thursday.

The horrific crash happened just after 1:00 p.m. Tuesday afternoon. The truck struck 8 vehicles in all. In addition to the three people killed, four others were hospitalized with injuries. Reportedly, one deceased victim was identified as a 54-year-old man, while two others were burned beyond recognition.
The Department of Homeland Security posted dashcam video of the horrific crash and announced:

The deadly crash is similar to another incident that happened in Florida on August 12, when another illegal alien truck driver from India, Harjinder Singh, 28, made an unlawful U-turn right in the middle of a Florida turnpike, blocking the highway and causing a horrifying crash that killed three innocent people. Singh had a commercial driver’s license, which he had also obtained in California. He had illegally crossed the border from Mexico into the U.S. in 2018.
