From the New York Post: President Trump plans to attend Sunday’s Super Bowl in New Orleans, becoming the first sitting commander-in-chief to attend America’s biggest annual sporting event, The Post has learned.

The planned presence of Trump, 78, at the Caesars Superdome was first reported by Punchbowl News and confirmed by federal law enforcement sources.

The president’s attendance will necessitate an extra layer of security, with the game taking place 39 days after an ISIS-inspired terrorist drove a truck through crowds celebrating New Year’s Eve on Bourbon Street, killing 14 people and injuring dozens more.

Trump also is recording an interview with Fox News host Bret Baier, which will air on the Fox network’s pregame show at 3 p.m. ahead of the 6:30 p.m. kickoff between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs.

Jake Sherman of Punchbowl News first announced, “NEWS: President Donald Trump is expected to go to the Super Bowl this weekend in New Orleans.”

ML Football announced, “President Donald Trump will be attending the #Eagles – #Chiefs Super Bowl in New Orleans this Sunday.

“Trump also plans to be on the FOX pregame show & will be the first sitting president ever to attend the Super Bowl in person. Expect to see a lot of Trump on Sunday.”

“President Donald Trump is attending the Super Bowl. He’s going to upstage Taylor Swift. I love every last bit of this 🇺🇸,” wrote Shawn Farash.
