From the Daily Mail: Terrified tourists fled for their lives as four assassins gunned down a man outside a luxury five-star resort in Cancun.
The victim, identified only as a 30-year-old Mexican national, was shot yesterday morning on the beach outside Hotel Riu.
After firing multiple shots, two of the assassins – who had approached him on foot – fled the scene on rented jet skis. The others ran away.
Guests ran for cover as the men carried out the targeted attack, rushing inside to the $300-a-night hotel lobby to watch as police responded to the body on the sand.
One of the four gunmen took off after shots were fired and ran through the beach area of the hotel’s neighboring Dreams Hotel.
The report explains that local police are investigating to learn if the brazen murder could be related to drug trafficking and cartel-related crimes.
A video shared on social media shows shocked guests gathered in the hotel lobby after the shooting.
