From Fox News: Planned Parenthood caught the internet’s attention on Thursday after all of its Instagram posts were deleted within hours of Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary RFK Jr.’s swearing in.
The organization, in an apparent nod to this move, posted a pair of eyes on a black background on its Instagram story with no explanation.
On Friday, Planned Parenthood posted another story, an animated gif with the words “I bet you thought you’d seen the last of me,” and later there were just three posts on its Instagram page, all about condom use.
As speculation swirled about the mysterious disappearance of the posts, many pro-life advocates started to call for the defunding of Planned Parenthood. This also comes just days after a conservative watchdog nonprofit founded by former Vice President Mike Pence, urged the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) to cut federal spending on Planned Parenthood.
Fox News further explained that Planned Parenthood health centers received nearly $22 billion in HHS grants and $53 billion from public health programs from 2019 to 2021.

On Thursday, Libs of TikTok announced, “Planned Parenthood just scrubbed their Instagram account. They know what’s coming….DEFUND PLANNED PARENTHOOD.”
Sen. Mike Lee (R-Utah) shared the post and added, “Please share this post if you’d like Congress to defund Planned Parenthood.”

Sen. Lee also pointed out on Thursday that Planned Parenthood has expanded their services. He wrote:
I guess performing abortions wasn’t edgy enough for Planned Parenthood—they now provide “gender affirming services”
Planned Parenthood claims to offer those services only “for patients 18 years and older,” even while proudly noting that they provide “puberty blockers,” which tend to be for much younger, pre-pubescent children (not FDA approved for transgender therapy, by the way)
Can someone please remind me why Congress funds this organization?
Vivek Ramaswamy responded, “There’s no good reason for this to be federally funded with our taxpayer dollars. Turn off the spigot.”

Many are suggesting that Planned Parenthood’s Instagram account may have been hacked, based on the strange message that now appears on the page.

But the calls for Planned Parenthood to be DEFUNDED are growing.

Planned Parenthood has scrubbed their IG Account.
Never forget that Kamala Harris was heavily involved with prosecuting the Heroes that exposed Planned Parenthood illegally trafficking late-term abortion victims body parts. pic.twitter.com/DkqIdiwcZP

Students for Life president Kristan Hawkins wrote, “Did Planned Parenthood delete all their posts to “rebrand” as just a birth control and reproductive health provider to protect themselves from potential defunding? WE KNOW THE TRUTH—Planned Parenthood wouldn’t survive without committing abortions & distributing sterilizing hormones to gender-confused teens. They must be defunded NOW!”

Cecile Richards, who was the president of Planned Parenthood from 2006 to 2018, died on January 20, the day of President Donald Trump’s inauguration. She was 67, and had been diagnosed with an aggressive form of brain cancer in 2023.
Many Democrats, including Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, and NY AG Letitia James posted gushing tributes to Richards, and were instantly blasted by conservatives on social media.
America has had few greater advocates for women and reproductive health than Cecile Richards.
Her legacy will be the countless lives she touched and the generations of women she inspired to follow in her footsteps.
I’m thinking of her family and friends today and holding you…

Don’t worry. She was just a clump of cells.

Cecile Richards was a trailblazer.
She dedicated herself to protecting reproductive rights for women in this nation, and we will keep fighting in her honor.
May she rest in power.https://t.co/QLcYN7MOnH

Deb Haaland, former Secretary of the Interior during the Biden administration, said of Richards, “This world is much better because of her life’s work.”
