From the Washington ExaminerFormer U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley accepted a position at public relations firm Edelman.

Haley will serve as vice chair for EGA, Edelman’s Global Advisory consultancy focused on public and government affairs, according to a press release from the firm on Wednesday.

“In a time of growing complexities in business, policy, and politics — brands need to anticipate what’s coming next. Whether managing a crisis or celebrating a success, industry leaders must be ready to communicate clearly and share their vision forward,” Haley said in a statement announcing her new job. “I’m excited to join the team at Edelman to help their clients navigate the challenges ahead.”

Her decision to join forces with the PR giant comes after former President Donald Trump appeared to suggest he would offer Haley a role in his administration should he win the presidential election in November. The pair’s relationship goes back years, with Trump tapping Haley to serve as his ambassador to the U.N. from 2017-2018. However, the former South Carolina governor attracted her former boss’s ire after launching a primary challenge against him last year.

Haley confirmed her endorsement for Trump in a July 17 statement on X, while Joe Biden was still in the race.

“I’ll start by making one thing perfectly clear.  Donald Trump has my strong endorsement.    Our country is at a critical moment.  We have a choice to make.  For more than a year, I said a vote for Joe Biden is a vote for President Kamala Harris.  After seeing the debate, everyone knows it’s true,” she wrote.
