From Fox News: Tech billionaire Elon Musk ripped alleged “fraudulent” Treasury payments on Saturday as reports circulated that the Department of Government Efficiency has gained acces to the federal government’s payment system as the second Trump administration continues cutting what they say is government fat and overspending.

“The @DOGE team discovered, among other things, that payment approval officers at Treasury were instructed always to approve payments, even to known fraudulent or terrorist groups. They literally never denied a payment in their entire career. Not even once,” Musk, the chair of DOGE, posted early Saturday morning to X.

Musk’s post came just ahead of the New York Times reporting Saturday afternoon that Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent granted DOGE personnel access to the payment system. The Treasury spends roughly $6 trillion per year on payments for federal agencies.

The ranking Democrat on the Senate Finance Committee, Oregon Sen. Ron Wyden, posted to social media on Saturday that he has also been informed that DOGE was granted access to the system.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Joe Biden’s Deputy Secretary of the Treasury was Adwale O. “Walley” Adeyemo, a Nigerian immigrant.  Adeyemo resigned on January 20, the day Biden left office.

David Lebryk, who served as the Fiscal Assistant Secretary of the Treasury, then became the Acting U.S. Secretary of the Treasury.  He resigned on January 28, after refusing to give Trump’s DOGE team access to the Treasury payments system.

Over the weekend, conservative filmmaker Robby Starbuck announced, “The highest ranking Treasury official, David A Lebryk, is resigning rather than complying with a request by @DOGE for access to audit where they’ve spent trillions of dollars a year. Why would career bureaucrats fear an audit by @elonmusk and @doge to see where we can save money?”

Musk responded, “The @DOGE team discovered, among other things, that payment approval officers at Treasury were instructed always to approve payments, even to known fraudulent or terrorist groups. They literally never denied a payment in their entire career. Not even once.”

Sunday afternoon, Musk announced, “Career Treasury officials are breaking the law every hour of every day by approving payments that are fraudulent or do not match the funding laws passed by Congress. This needs to stop NOW!”

Starbuck announced Monday, “As crazy as this story sounds, it appears to be true that foreign nationals applied for and received COVID stimulus checks. A Treasury IG report found 309,601 payments for $423M were issued to non-citizens and 27,808 payment requests for $34M came from foreign addresses.”

Democrats are in a wild panic about Musk having access to the U.S. Treasury.

Prominent X user Marina Medvin announced, “Two federal employee unions AFGE and SEIU have filed a lawsuit seeking to block DOGE and Elon Musk from accessing the Treasury Department payment database. What are they afraid he will discover.”

Sen. Chuck Schumer is freaking out over Musk having access to the Treasury Department, and wildly claimed, “Before our very eyes, an unelected, shadow government is conducting a hostile takeover of the federal government. Last Friday, DOGE forcefully gained access to the Treasury Department’s payment systems, and to the most sensitive information of virtually every US citizen.”

President Trump was asked in the Oval Office Monday morning about why it’s important for Musk to have access to the U.S. Treasury.  WATCH his response below:
