REPORT: More than 100 aid groups claim there is ‘mass starvation’ in Gaza

From ABC News: In a joint statement, 115 organizations described the dire food shortage in Gaza as “mass starvation,” as the “Israeli government’s siege starves the people of Gaza.”

The organizations warned that some aid workers are now joining food lines in Gaza, saying they are “risking being shot just to feed their families.” Repeated deadly shootings around aid distribution centers have killed hundreds, according to the United Nations.

Ten Palestinians died due to famine and malnutrition over the past 24 hours, according to a statement from Gaza Ministry of Health in the Hamas-run territory on Wednesday.

The joint statement accused the Israeli government of implementing “restrictions, delays, and fragmentation” in thel siege of the Gaza Strip, resulting in “chaos, starvation, and death” of Palestinians.

The report claims that 111 people have died from hunger since the war began, with 25 deaths in the past 48 hours. At least four children are among them.

Aid workers say that many supplies are now completely depleted.

Meanwhile social media users are pointing out that the adults appear to be well fed and healthy, prompting questions.

Influencer Dr. ELi David wrote on X, “How stupid and evil can the media be for publishing such photos as evidence of starvation in Gaza, with obese adults in the same photo?”

Dr. David also said that the United Nations is “intentionally trying to cause a famine in Gaza” in a retweet of Mark Levine’s post that included a video and the claim that the UN is “holding back 950 trucks either aid for Gaza.”

Levin also wrote, “Thousands of pallets of aid in Gaza just sitting and waiting for UN to pick up and distribute. Why? Meanwhile, the UN is demanding more. Where’s the media condemning the UN?

Another X user questioned one of the videos coming from Gaza.

“The new trend now is to claim Gaza is starving, even forcing children to eat dust for the camera. The boy in the video appears healthy, with a fresh haircut, and the person filming is using a high-quality phone—yet somehow, we’re expected to believe he’s eating dust out of desperation? This is appalling child exploitation, all for the sake of a political narrative,” the user wrote.
