REPORT: Migrants flooding city’s justice system, making up ‘75% of arrests’

From the New York Post: Across New York, recently arrived migrants are flooding the criminal justice system — at far higher rates than public officials have acknowledged.

Police sources shared with The Post a staggering estimate that as many as 75% of the people they’ve been arresting in Midtown Manhattan in recent months for crimes like assault, robbery and domestic violence are migrants. In parts of Queens, the figure is more than 60%, sources there estimate.

On any given day, Big Apple criminal court dockets are packed with asylum seekers who have run afoul of the law.

The problem is made much worse by sanctuary city laws that mean New York cops aren’t allowed to work with ICE on cases in which they believe suspects are in the country illegally. Additionally, the NYPD says it is barred from tracking the immigration status of offenders.

In one example, the report describes the arrest of Jefferson Maldenado, 31, an illegal alien from Ecuador, who has been arrested in New York City five times since he arrived earlier this year.

When asked why he stole a pair of pants and a beer from the Target, Maldenado claimed, “I wanted to change my clothes and think. I wanted to sit down and think about my life, about what to do. Because this is not a normal world.”

Maldenado was just one of five illegal aliens brought in to a Manhattan courtroom for arraignment one night last week, the report states.

Jim Quinn, a veteran former prosecutor at the Queens District Attorney’s Office, told The NY Post, “The sanctuary city law is pathetic. It’s disgusting. It’s crazy.”

According to police sources, the problem is compounded by the fact that word has spread in the shelters about the city’s lax bail guidelines, so the illegal alien criminals know they’re just going to be turned loose after being arrested.

X owner Elon Musk responded to the report, demanding,”When is enough enough? My mother lives in NY and her friends have been assaulted 3 times this year, with no punishment for the attackers!”

Journalist Ashley St. Claire wrote, “That’s just Midtown too. Areas in Queens are completely taken over by migrant pimp gangs.”

Musk reacted with two exclamation points.

Journalist Leeroy Johnson, who reports extensively on illegal alien crime in New York City, also reacted to the report, writing, “No shit? They finally caught up to what I have been reporting on for the past year or so lol.”

Johnson then posted a video of his exclusive footage and wrote:

As I have been reporting for months on Migrant crime in midtown Manhattan. My police sources state that Migrant gangs are connected to around 75% of the arrests in midtown Manhattan.

It’s everything from pickpocketing crews , shoplifting crews , chain-snatching crews , robberies, domestic violence, strong armed robberies, stabbings , shootings
counterfeit products, and even sex crimes at times. Here is some footage I gathered over the last 2 weeks or so. (I have much more).

Just Monday night, Johnson had announced, “I’m not sure what’s going on, but there’s tons of cops by the Stewart migrant Hotel in NYC.”
