From the Washington Examiner: Former first lady Michelle Obama‘s calendar is filling up with campaign events for Vice President Kamala Harris as she prepares to make her campaign debut next week in Michigan.
While former President Barack Obama has become increasingly involved in the Harris campaign, the former first lady has been conspicuously absent. The Harris campaign announced that this will change on Saturday, Oct. 26, when she is set to appear alongside Harris in Michigan.
The move will be her first political appearance since she gave a speech at the August Democratic National Convention.
Her husband is set to increase his campaigning for Harris as well, and he is scheduled for solo events in Tucson, Las Vegas, Detroit, and Madison. He will appear alongside Harris in Georgia on Thursday.
Early Friday morning, Michelle Obama announced on social media, “Michigan! I’ll be joining @KamalaHarris for a rally on October 26 – and I hope you’ll tune in! It’s up to all of us to do all we can from now until Election Day to support Kamala Harris and Tim Walz. Every single vote counts, and there’s no time to waste! #DoSomething.”

Obama also touted that she will be campaigning for Harris in Atlanta on Tuesday, Oct. 29, just one week prior to Election Day. The event will be hosted by When We All Vote, a voter turnout group she founded in 2018.
Georgia! I’m excited to join @WhenWeAllVote for a rally in Atlanta on Tuesday, October 29!
With early voting happening right now — it’s important that folks make a plan to vote by Election Day.
