From Breitbart: US buyers have begun halting orders from Bangladesh, the world’s second-biggest garment manufacturer, after punishing US tariffs that pushed the government in Dhaka to plead on Monday for a three-month pause to the levies.
Textile and garment production accounts for about 80 percent of exports in Bangladesh and the industry has been rebuilding after it was hit hard in a student-led revolution that toppled the government last year.
US President Donald Trump hit Bangladesh with biting new tariffs of 37 percent on Wednesday, hiking duties from the previous 16 percent on cotton products.
Reports of the swift biting impact come as interim leader Muhammad Yunus pleaded with Trump to “postpone the application of US reciprocal tariff measures”, the government said in a statement.

Meanwhile, although the U.S. has been importing garments from Bangladesh, the country is a huge supporter of Palestine and Hamas and has accused Israel of going on a “killing spree.”
A statement from the Bangladesh government on Monday reads:
The Government of Bangladesh expresses its strongest condemnation of the Israeli Occupying Forces’ continued mass killing and gross violations of human rights in the Gaza Strip. Israel’s ongoing military attacks since last month’s unilateral breach of the ceasefire have killed scores of Palestinians, mostly women and children as well as blocked the entry of humanitarian aid into Gaza leading to a human catastrophe. Evidently, Israel has shown no regard to repeated international appeals and has instead engaged in an increasingly intense killing spree.

An X account for “Voice of Bangladesh Hindus” shared a video of a KFC restaurant being vandalized, and wrote, “In Bangladesh, Islamists are openly rallying for Hamas, vandalizing places like KFC, and calling for boycotts of U.S. and Israeli products. Despite the chaos, authorities have taken no action as anti-Israel , anti-America and anti-India slogans continue to spread.”

Another X user shared the following disturbing details on the anti-Israel, anti-American protests taking place in Bangladesh:
As a result of the Israel-Palestine conflict, there was a rally of Islamic fundamentalists in Dhaka Bangladesh today. From the rally, a procession was held recognizing Bin Laden, the terrorist who attacked the Twin Towers, as a hero. From that gathering of Islamic fundamentalists in Dhaka, calls were made to attack another Twin Tower in America.
Many programs were given, including the siege of the US Embassy in Bangladesh. At one stage, the showrooms of several American brands, including famous American brands KFC and Bata, were vandalized, calling for a boycott of American products.
The #Yunus administration did not provide any kind of hindrance to these terrorists. The rise of militancy in Bangladesh is truly astonishing. During the previous Sheikh Hasina government, Bangladesh did not see such atrocities by Islamic terrorists. Which is being seen during the Yunus government.
