From the Daily Caller: Democratic Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass on Monday demanded federal agents leave the scene at a MacArthur Park Immigration raid.
When Bass arrived on the scene, a reporter asked her for a comment in a video shot by Fox 11 Los Angeles. “My comment is they need to leave and they need to leave right now!” Bass exclaimed. They need to leave because this is unacceptable. Just wait and see. They will be leaving soon.”
Fox News reporter Bill Melugin first announced, “We are with hundreds of federal agents and military as a massive federal immigration enforcement operation is underway in the MacArthur Park area of the sanctuary city of Los Angeles, an area with heavy MS-13 influence. Mayor Bass has demanded raids stop, Feds respond with one of the largest yet, including Border Patrol agents on horseback. Protesters already showing up.”

In updated posts, Melugin added:

Later, FoxLA anchor Elex Michaelson posted a video of Bass demanding that immigration agents leave “right now!”

Melugin shared another update:
I just spoke to Border Patrol Chief Gregory Bovino @USBPChiefELC, who was the official on the phone with LA Mayor Karen Bass at MacArthur Park today. I asked him for his message to her, as she demands raids end?
“I don’t work for Karen Bass. Better get used to us now, cause this is going to be normal very soon. We will go anywhere, anytime we want in Los Angeles.”

Bass also posted a video from the raid and fumed, “This is footage from today in MacArthur Park. Minutes before, there were more than 20 kids playing — then, the MILITARY comes through. The SECOND I heard about this, I went to the park to speak to the person in charge to tell them it needed to end NOW. Absolutely outrageous.”
