I don’t know the exact particulars of the incident, but it seems clear that the perpetrator approached this gentleman from behind with a knife and unprovoked, and then the victim was stabbed. The racial slur came after he was attacked and was blurted out in a manner of utter distain for the perpetrator. So, jury finds victim guilty of racism and punished by finding perpetrator innocent of the charge as if the victim deserved the attack. Jury had a twisted sense of morality and justice.
