From Fox News: Former MSNBC host Joy Reid accused Piers Morgan on Wednesday of ambushing her in a new interview and said the British media host was “obsessed” with race baiting for his “very White audience.”
On her podcast, “The Joy Reid Show,” Reid laid into Morgan after she was soured by her experience as a guest commentator on “Piers Morgan Uncensored” the day before.
Before the contentious was set to air on Thursday afternoon, Reid went on the offensive, accusing Morgan of “luring” her onto his show under the false premise that they would discuss her new YouTube show and the politics of the day. Instead, she said, his team had compiled pre-edited clips, dredged up past controversies, and confronted her with accusations that she was a race baiter.
“The interview, which drops [Thursday], was a cheap, sleazy, very Piers Morgan pivot to take the heat off of the right and Trump and put it right where the right needs to be, on the Black lady,” Reid claimed.
Reid claimed that she was “lured” into the interview by Morgan’s team with the understanding that they would talk about President Donald Trump’s policies, and her new media show.
She lamented that she wasn’t expecting Morgan to bring up her controversial blog posts from over 15 years ago or to ask her to respond to allegations that she stoked racial hatred on her previous MSNBC show.
“This was pre-planned because they had edited pieces ready for it,” Reid whined.
Morgan reacted, writing on X, “I interviewed Joy Reid last night. It did not go well… for Joy Reid. In fact, it went so badly for her that she’s already gone public about how terrible it was, and I am. Apparently, I’m obsessed with race & identity politics. 🤣Drops later on @PiersUncensored 🔥🔥.”

On his X account, Piers posted a number of video clips about his heated interview with Reid.
Reid has repeatedly blasted Trump’s deportation policies and accused him of racism. Morgan fired back, asking, “Do you know how many people Barack Obama deported in eight years?”
Rebuffed, Reid claimed she didn’t know and didn’t care.
“Do you think schoolchildren at school should have access to books in their library which involves strap-on d*ldos?” Morgan asked in another exchange as Reid claimed the Trump administration is banning books.
Reid claimed these are “award-winning” books.
In another fiery debate, Morgan said Reid wasn’t fired from MSNBC because of her skin color, but just because no one watched her show anymore.
Morgan also played the video of Reid crying on air after getting fired by MSNBC. That one prompted a major meltdown.
