From Fox News: The Indy 500 will have a special tribute to the United States Army this Memorial Day Weekend.
Indianapolis Motor Speedway will be filled with thousands of fans to see who will take home the checkered flag of the most prominent IndyCar.
But before dozens of drivers aim to etch their names in the history books, it will pay homage to the Army’s 250th birthday.
Two Army Apache helicopters will fly above the cars on the first pace lap of the race. It is being dubbed the “Pace Lap for America.”
It appears a flyover also took place on Friday:

Brett Oldfather of the Indiana National Guard also hinted that a major surprise is coming.

Also, in honor of the U.S. Army’s 250th birthday, President Trump says he will be hosting a huge parade on June 14.
Trump announced on Truth Social Friday afternoon:
I am proud to announce that we will be hosting a magnificent Parade to honor the United States Army’s 250th Birthday, on Saturday, June 14th, in Washington, D.C. For two and a half centuries, our brave soldiers have fought, bled, and died to keep us FREE, and now we will honor them with a wonderful Parade, one that is worthy of their service and sacrifice.
