From the Washington Free Beacon: Ilhan Omar’s daughter, Isra Hirsi, is unemployed and hawking her used clothes online just months after graduating from the elite Barnard College, she announced in a Tuesday Instagram story.
“Unemployment got me,” Hirsi said, including a link to her page on Depop, a peer-to-peer marketplace. On the platform, Hirsi looked to unload some old clothing items, including a pair of Dr. Martens boots for $50 and her “beloved multicolored striped cardigan” for $15.
Hirsi, like her mother, was an outspoken supporter of the pro-Hamas movement on campus during her time at Barnard. She is perhaps best known for being arrested at the Columbia University encampment in April 2024, which led to her suspension from Barnard.
Barnard president Laura Rosenbury offered to lift the campus activists’ suspensions less than a week later after faculty issued public statements siding with encampment participants. Hirsi ultimately graduated from Barnard in May of this year, walking the stage with a Palestinian flag in hand, her Instagram page shows.
