REPORT: House Dem pushes reparations, demands trillions be sent to Black Americans

From Fox News: A House Democrat plans to introduce a resolution calling for the U.S. to spend trillions of dollars on reparations for Black Americans this week.

Rep. Summer Lee, D-Penn., plans to introduce the Reparations Now Resolution on Thursday. Lee met with other lawmakers and activists on Capitol Hill on Tuesday at an event titled “Why We Can’t Wait: Advancing Reparative Justice in Our Lifetime.” She argues that reparations are a “moral and legal obligation” for Americans.

“This is a moment in time where societies are shaped [and] new societies are built. We should be the ones who are shaping it,” said Lee.

“Their real intention is to build up whatever comes next in their image,” she said, referring to the Trump administration, “and we better fight like hell to make sure that we’re building it in our image.”

Lee went on a wild rant demanding reparations back in February:

Zeek Arkham, a Black conservative and an NYPD police officer, made it clear he doesn’t agree with the call for reparations. In a post on X Tuesday evening, he wrote:

I already got my reparations.

My “reparations” are that I get to live in a free country where my choices are my own, my accountability is my own, and I can achieve anything I want.

My “reparations” are that I worked hard to be where I am and I can take my family on vacations, own a home, and can enjoy a lifelong pension.

My “reparations” are that my daughter will achieve more than I have because I’m teaching her that she’s free and won’t be held down by barriers.

Besides, 90% of you screaming about reparations will be broke in two years if you ever got them anyway. You’ll then have to find something else to complain about.

In another post, Arkham wrote:

Dear people who whine about “stolen land,” reparations, and anything else they can think about to whine about how much they hate this country,

South Africa has got some spots available. Matter of fact, we could definitely get a trade deal going. We’re giving farmers asylum anyway, so if you want to go take their place, now’s the time to do so. You could be far away from American “oppression” and go live over there with them. We might even buy you a plane ticket. Don’t know if Spirit or Frontier will fly you there, but we’ll work something out.
