In an effort to reel in Black men to vote for her, Kamala Harris dangled a carrot on Monday, proposing to provide one million forgivable small business loans, education training and mentorship programs, and more benefits – all on the basis of race. The announced perks are only for Black entrepreneurs and Black men.
From the Associated Press: Vice President Kamala Harris announced a plan on Monday to give Black men more economic opportunities and other chances to thrive as she works to energize a key voting bloc that has Democrats concerned about a lack of enthusiasm.
Harris’ plan includes providing forgivable business loans for Black entrepreneurs, creating more apprenticeships and studying sickle cell and other diseases that disproportionately affect African American men.
Harris already has said she supports legalizing marijuana and her plan calls for working to ensure that Black men have opportunities to participate as a “national cannabis industry takes shape.” She also is calling for better regulating cryptocurrency to protect Black men and others who invest in digital assets.
The vice president’s “opportunity agenda for Black men” is meant to invigorate African American males at a moment when there are fears some may sit out the election rather than vote for Harris or her opponent, Republican former President Donald Trump.
“Black men deserve a president who cares about making their lives better,” Harris declared, posting her list of race-baiting enticements.

In another post, Harris released a lengthy statement, making multiple wild allegations against Trump, including again pushing the hoax about “Trump’s Project 2025,” which he has repeatedly stated he has no part of, and touting her new plan to win over Black men.
She wrote:
My parents met while protesting for civil rights. When I was a child, they would take me to marches in a stroller. Those were my first memories of seeing people fighting for the freedoms and the promise of America that had long been kept from them.
As I have traveled across the country, I have spoken with many Americans—including Black men—about their hopes, dreams, hurdles, and worries. Black men and boys deserve a president who sees them, and will help break through the barriers preventing them from building intergenerational wealth and realizing their aspirations.
Donald Trump is not that president. Trump’s business career began when he was investigated for refusing to rent property to Black families. His entry into public life was when he took out a full-page ad in the New York Times calling for the execution of the Central Park Five—innocent Black teenagers who were later exonerated. As president, he called majority-Black nations “shitholes.”
Today, Trump’s Project 2025 agenda would give him unchecked power, posing an even more serious threat to Black communities. He would bring back stop-and-frisk, roll back civil and voting rights, and implement a national sales tax costing families an average of $4,000 per year.
We can’t go back—and we do not have to. Today, I’m announcing an Opportunity Agenda for Black Men.
It will, among other things, provide 1 million fully forgivable loans to entrepreneurs, and protect cryptocurrency investments so people who make them know their money is safe. It will launch a National Health Equity Initiative focused on illnesses that disproportionately impact Black men like sickle cell disease and diabetes. And it will legalize recreational marijuana and ensure that all Americans have opportunities to succeed as this new industry takes shape.
When we invest in Black men—their dreams, aspirations, and ambitions—we are stronger.

Former president Barack Obama then pushed out Harris’ post and wrote, “.@KamalaHarris has a plan that will lift up Black men and their families. She’s laid out some ways to give Black men the tools to build wealth, achieve financial freedom, and lower costs. Read the plan: http://kamalaharris.com/agenda.”

BS! Both your parents are Marxists and Communists who hate America. They taught you well!— Xi Van Fleet (@XVanFleet) October 14, 2024
Your promise of free handouts won’t work this time. Black people are tired of being used as pawns by Democrats.

Now what you going to do for the white folks that vote for you @KamalaHarris ? You haven’t told white folks what you will do for us if we vote for you? Speak up? Let’s hear it on Fox today?

Kamala Harris (born 1964) moved to the Midwest when she was two years old (1966) and lived there until she was five (1969), when her parents separated. She had a pretty vivid memory for being two. https://t.co/U2GKQ5TwvT
