REPORT: Gov. Sarah Sanders booted from Arkansas restaurant, flipped off by staff

From the Daily Wire: It’s the Red Hen all over again.

Sarah Huckabee Sanders, the governor of Arkansas and former White House press secretary, says she was having lunch with two mom friends at a restaurant called The Croissanterie in Little Rock when the owner kicked them out. Her presence at the restaurant, the owner told the governor, made the employees feel “threatened and uncomfortable” because of her political views. As they left, she was given the middle finger.

The appalling incident happened last week. Sanders told The Daily Wire that during the meal, other patrons had stopped at her table to thank her for the work she was doing for Arkansas.

They had actually already eaten and paid when her security details was informed that they needed to leave the restaurant. A group of restaurant staff reportedly started shouting, “It’s time to leave!” and gave her the “finger” in front of the other guests.

Sanders confirmed in a post on social media:

Last week I was having lunch with two other moms at a restaurant when the owner approached a member of the State Police Executive Protection Detail and said my presence made their employees feel threatened and told us to leave.

Arkansans are known for their warm hospitality, and while that restaurant didn’t meet that standard, my administration will continue to focus on lifting Arkansans up, not tearing others down.

The Croissanterie may have just made a serious mistake, as the restaurant is being pounded by conservatives on social media.

In a Facebook post on Wednesday, the restaurant had written, “This is one of the best teams I’ve worked with in my long career. These guys and girl make things run. And this is only a few of them. So proud of our team, growing everyday.”

The post has been hit with over 1,000 comments as of this report. While liberals are praising the restaurant for kicking the Republican governor out, conservatives are blasting them. Below is must a sampling:

Just a sincere question-how does someone who was dining in your establishment and creating income for your business make anyone feel threatened or uncomfortable? Was an inappropriate remark or gesture made? Or was it just their views differed and based their judgment of her on her political views alone made them feel threatened? If based on political views only, I sure hope it was worth it.

Definitely won’t be in now, you are there to serve customers and you just alienated a big part of your community!! Your staff needs to learn to respect their customers and leave their victim mentality at home! Funny that thy waited until they were paid etc to have an issue!

Maybe you should put a sign next to your “90 minute dining limit” that states “we serve only Democrats”. No worries then!

So let me get this straight… if someone isn’t in agreement with your employees political views, they should not come through your doors? Noted.

Imagine being so fragile that you can’t be in the same building as someone who doesn’t share your political views? What a sad existence.

Remember always discriminate against anyone who has different beliefs than you so it doesn’t trigger your weak employees feels.

Fuck this place!!! Food is supposed to bring people together, not discriminate!! time for you guys to go out of business.

Meanwhile, one employee of the restaurant defiantly wrote on Facebook, “Good Morning! Sarah Huckabee Sanders no amount of evil you send our way can ever take our smiles away!!! I’m proud af to work here! I’m proud af to be gay and I’m proud af to be an Arkansan. My voice matters. Try again.”
