Agents and state police could be seen searching Ritter’s home in Delmar on Wednesday afternoon, WNYT reported.

Below is an excerpt from the WNYT report:

Ritter was the chief weapons inspector in Iraq. He was found guilty in 2011 of engaging in a sexually explicit web chat with a person in Pennsylvania who was pretending to a be a 15-year-old girl, according to Reuters. Ritter was actually corresponding with a detective for the Barrett Township Police Department.

The New York Post pointed out that the raid came just a day after Ritter had hung out with 2024 presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

Tuesday evening, Ritter posted a photo of he and RFK Jr. at a restaurant and wrote, “Burgers with Bobby!”
