From the Washington Examiner: Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) is catching backlash for using ActBlue, a Democratic fundraising platform, to facilitate donations to California charities involved in wildfire recovery.

Warren posted an ActBlue link Saturday on X in support of two California charities but soon received a Community Note saying it “is not a link to charity. It is a link to a Democrat fundraising platform.”

When clicked, the link leads to a page with “Warren for Senate” at the top with descriptions of two charities, the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation and the United Way of Greater Los Angeles, below.

“Your full donation will directly support these two organizations,” the page says.

“To help support the communities around L.A. being devastated by wildfires, can you split a donation between the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation and United Way of Greater Los Angeles? 100% of your donation will go directly to these organizations,” Warren claimed, as she posted the link and begged for people to donate to the Democrat-led fundraising group.

ATTENTION: It should be noted that ActBlue will then have the information on anyone who makes donations through their platform, in order to solicit donations from them in the future.

Also, the report warns that ActBlue collects a 3.95% processing charge on every transaction.

Comedian Tim Young warned, “This is a scam to fundraise for Democrat campaigns…. Act blue??? You should be ashamed of yourself.”

“Dems are using the LA fires to raise money for their political PAC. Scum of the earth,” wrote Buzz Patterson.

Trump delegate Cecilia Calabrese wrote: “Just when I think “my” Senator can’t sink any lower she tries to loot well-meaning donors that want to help California fire victims. ActBlue is a Democrat fundraiser platform only. Shame on you, Senator, for pushing this scam! Seems like FEC may want to investigate. @Kash_Patel?”

And the condemnation continues….
