From KETV.com: The U.S. Geological Survey confirms a 4.1 magnitude earthquake hit Cowels, Nebraska.
Cowels, Nebraska, is about three hours away from Omaha. Despite this, KETV has received numerous emails and tips about people in the Metro feeling the rumble of the earthquake.
According to USGS, this is the latest earthquake reported since last August, when the agency reported a 2.5 magnitude earthquake hit Comstock, Nebraska.
Just before 2:30 PM on Sunday, a 2.6 magnitude earthquake was reported following the initial 4.1 magnitude earthquake near Cowles, Nebraska.
