From Fox News: FBI Director Christopher Wray revealed why he decided to resign “during such a dangerous time” and with nearly three years left to go in his term during an interview on CBS’ “60 Minutes” Sunday.
“If it’s such a dangerous time, why resign?” asked host Scott Pelley.
Wray, 58, had just been outlining the United States’ greatest threats from communist China’s ability to attack critical US infrastructure to domestic terrorists like New Orleans attacker Shamsud-Din Jabbar who became radicalized “not in years, but in weeks.”
“My decision to retire from the FBI was one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever had to make,” Wray responded.
“President-elect had made clear that he intended to make a change… my conclusion was that the thing that was best for the bureau was to do this in an orderly way. To not thrust the bureau deeper into the fray,” Wray said.
Attempting to justify the FBI’s scandalous raid of Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate, Wray argued, “Our job at the FBI is to follow the facts wherever they lead, no matter who likes it.”

During the interview, Wray said the greatest long-term threat facing the United States is the Chinese government.
“China’s cyber program is by far the world’s largest, bigger than that of every major nation combined, and has stolen more of Americans’ personal and corporate data than that of every nation, big or small, combined,” he said.
Wray warned, “Chinese government is prepositioning on U.S. civilian critical infrastructure to lie in wait on those networks to be in a position to wreak havoc and inflict real world harm at a time and place of their choosing.”
Pelley noted that the Chinese have already insinuated malware into critical American infrastructure.
Wray agreed, saying water treatment plants, the transportation system, the energy sector, such as the electric grid and natural gas pipelines, and even our telecommunications system are all being targeted by China.

Wray is being pounded on social media, as many conservatives are blasting him for using FBI resources to go after Trump, and accusing parents at school board meetings, Christians and MAGA supporters of being ‘domestic terrorists,’ while a much larger problem threatens national security.
So the biggest threat isn’t ‘white supremacists’ anymore?

Wait? It’s not climate change?!

Joe Biden said it was climate change and White Supremacy.

Maybe you should have asked him why he didn’t do anything about it instead of arresting people for wandering into a building upon invitation from FBI assets and employees. Just a thought.

I thought it was home grown white supremacy.

And yet they pretend the long-term threat comes from conservative white males. There seems to be quite the disconnect.
