REPORT: Democrats plotting Fetterman ouster

From Axios: Top Democrats in Pennsylvania are maneuvering to run against Sen. John Fetterman in a 2028 primary contest, threatening to tear the party apart in the biggest battleground state in the nation.

Why it matters: Democrats haven’t flipped a GOP Senate seat since Fetterman did it in 2022. He’s still popular with Pennsylvania voters, even as Democrats turn on him over his softened approach to President Trump.

Potential Democratic challengers are already bashing Fetterman — and each other — years ahead of schedule.

Some Democratic officials are openly contemplating running against Fetterman or keeping the door open to a Senate bid in the event he retires.

The report lists several Democrats who could potentially run against Fetterman, including Reps. Brendan Boyle and Chris Deluzio and former Rep. Conor Lamb.

The three potential 2028 contenders did not rule out the possibility when asked by Axios.

In recent months, Fetterman boldly took a stand against some Democrat tactics, including the violent rhetoric that is growing among those on the left.

Kirk has spoken out against the assassination of Charlie Kirk, and called for the left to turn the temperature DOWN and stop calling people on the right Nazis and fascists.

Now Democrats are turning on Fetterman. Far-left activist Sarah Jane Winfoot sneered, “As a Democrat, I’m honestly embarrassed that John Fetterman represents us. We can do so much better than a brain damaged conservative populist.”

During a town hall Wednesday night, news podcaster Bill O’Reilly asked Fetterman why he is still a Democrat.
