REPORT: Democrat who spoke out on trans issue now getting primaried by bearded woman

The Democratic Party is in a nosedive to the far-left, as progressives are continuing to seek to push out more moderate Democrat politicians.

From the Daily Caller: It has flown under the radar a bit, but Democratic Massachusetts Rep. Seth Moulton, one of the few in his party who has been outspoken against pro-trans activists, is getting challenged by a bearded woman who identifies as a man.

Moulton, a moderate Harvard graduate and Bronze Star Iraq veteran, is now weighing a primary challenge of his own to unseat left-wing Massachusetts Sen. Ed Markey, he confirmed Wednesday. But back in July, Moulton was on the receiving end of a primary threat — for the first time since 2020.

In a podcast in November 2024, Moulton spoke out against biological males competing in girls’ sports.

“I have two little girls. I don’t want them getting run over on a playing field by a male or formerly male athlete. But as a Democrat, I’m supposed to be afraid to say that,” he admitted.

In July, Boston.com reported on the transgender activist who is running for U.S. Congress in an effort to oust Moulton. The article begins:

Software engineer and Democratic activist Bethany Andres-Beck recently announced that they would be launching a primary challenge to Rep. Seth Moulton.

The congressman, who has represented the North Shore since 2015, found himself in hot water last fall after he criticized fellow Democrats for not being “brutally honest” about concerns over transgender student athletes and identity politics. Local activists were so incensed that they began looking for someone to challenge Moulton.

Now Andres-Beck, who lives in Middleton and works for the health care software company Aledade, is entering the political fray. Although they’ve volunteered for Democratic candidates and causes in the past, Andres-Beck has never sought elected office themself. Andres-Beck is leaning in to their outsider status and issuing a pointed repudiation of the status quo.

FLASHBACK: However, although Mouton has spoken out against the pro-trans activists, his social media page is full of posts supporting the transgender movement.  Now, one is going after his seat in Congress.

Moulton says he has not made a final decision yet, but the New York Times reported that he is considering running for Senate instead of trying to win re-election in the House.

Representative Seth Moulton of Massachusetts is moving closer to a primary challenge against Senator Ed Markey in what would be the most prominent test of the Democratic Party’s appetite for generational change after the 2024 election.

Mr. Moulton has been discussing a Senate run, and hiring and interviewing people to work on his campaign, according to five people with knowledge of his activities not authorized to speak publicly. A potential campaign kickoff is expected in early October, two of the people said. He was recently spotted with a film crew in Massachusetts.
