From the Daily Mail: A Democratic governor who is at war over Donald Trump’s crackdown on crime has fled to George Clooney’s Italian estate amid his feud with the president.
Maryland Gov. Wes Moore and his wife Dawn are seeking refuge in the comforts of the Hollywood actor’s famous Lake Como villa.
The 46-year-old showcased his shirtless physique as he and Dawn soaked up the sun Monday afternoon from the deck of the movie star’s yacht.
A White House spokesman told the Daily Mail: ‘Baltimore’s residents can’t escape gunshots and crime while Wes Moore flies to Lake Como to hang out with the Democrat elite.
‘Maybe he should stay there, because he surely isn’t getting anything done in Annapolis.’
The report notes that Clooney once praised Moore as ‘someone we could all join in behind’ as a potential 2028 Democratic nominee.
Although Clooney and his wife Amal are not currently in Italy, they have reportedly opened their home (and boat) to the Moores, allowing them to use it. The luxury Lake Como home reportedly comes complete with a full service staff.
After Moore spent last week feuding with President Trump, condemning the president for deploying the National Guard in D.C. and threatening to redraw the state’s congressional district map to eliminate the last Republican-held district, he then jetted off to Italy to live it up at George Clooney’s ritzy estate.
