From Breitbart: Project 65, a “dark money” left-wing group that has targeted lawyers that represented former President Donald Trump in 2020, is now warning potential Trump attorneys that they could be disbarred for working for him.
In an ad posted on Instagram, and apparently targeted at lawyers, Project 65 warns: “Don’t let partisan politics endanger your standing with the bar. The Porter Wright Partners face ethics complaints over Trump campaign post-election work. Don’t risk your law license by joining an effort to subvert democracy. We – and the public – are watching.”
Porter Wright is a firm that represented Trump in Pennsylvania in 2020. Its lawyers withdrew from representing Trump mere days after the November election after coming under intense pressure.
The “ethics complaints” referred to in the Project 65 ad were brought in 2022 by Project 65 itself against Ronald Hicks and Carolyn McGee, who were partners at Porter Wright at the time. Both now work for another firm, Nelson Mullins; they withdrew from representing Trump before the first hearing in his election challenges even took place. The Pennsylvania Office of Disciplinary Counsel does not appear to have taken any action against either of them.
Breitbart writer Joel Pollack shared a screenshot of the threatening ad on social media and wrote, “The “65 Project,” which targets Trump attorneys for abuse, is now threatening any POTENTIAL Trump lawyers with losing their law licenses if they work for him. This is worthy of a lawsuit in itself, as well as a Bar complaint, and it’s arguably a violation of the Sixth Amendment.”

“Intimidation tactics like this should not be tolerated,” declared Jeff Clark, a former DOJ official.
Conservative Shawn Smith agreed, writing, “At this point, the origin, funding, purpose, and intent of hyperpartisan 65 Project is so abundantly, clearly the deprivation of rights not just for Trump for for the American People, using malicious prosecution and abuse of process, any Bar that entertains them ought to be sued out of existence and barred from exercising any oversight over the profession, and the signatories to their complaints ought to be investigated for election interference. They are raping America through their abuse of our legal system.”

Below are more commented posted on social media in response to the group’s Instagram threat:
You people are disgraceful we see right through it.
And we MAGA are watching dirt bag dark money groups like you. We know who you are.
This is unconstitutional.
I think the members of The 65 Project should be charged with terroristic threats. They are telling American lawyers they no longer have the authority to represent their clients to the best of their ability if they don’t like their clients. They are a bunch of commies who need to be stopped.
Commies at work!
Ask Lin Wood and Rudy Guilliani about this….it happened
That has been happening for the last 4 years.
Judges are allowing this. The problem is the judiciary is corrupt.
