From the New York Post: Big Hollywood names have started to turn on Los Angeles’ Democratic leadership, including Mayor Karen Bass, over the botched response to the wildfires raging across the ritzy, celeb-filled Pacific Palisades and surrounding areas.

Actress Sarah Michelle Gellar led the charge, criticizing the Democratic leadership on Instagram for failing to direct the tens of thousands of Southern California residents trying to flee as the fires burned uncontained Wednesday.

“City of LA you want everyone to evacuate yet you have complete gridlock and not one traffic cop on the roads helping,” Gellar wrote, tagging Bass and the city of Los Angeles.

Former “Dancing with the Stars” professional dancer Valentin Chmerkovskiy also wrote in an Instagram story: “5th largest economy on the planet. Firefighters didn’t have enough water pressure to do their jobs?! Are you joking me?! The taxes we pay for 3rd world infrastructure is unbelievable?! Come on.”

Model and TV personality Amber Rose wrote: “How TF is there Low water pressure in Los Angeles???? WTF The fire hydrants barely work here??? This is insane!”

Actress Sara Foster wrote on X, “We pay the highest taxes in California. Our fire hydrants were empty. Our vegetation was overgrown, brush not cleared. Our reservoirs were emptied by our governor because tribal leaders wanted to save fish. Our fire department budget was cut by our mayor. But thank god drug addicts are getting their drug kits. @MayorOfLA @GavinNewsom RESIGN. Your far left policies have ruined our state. And also our party.”

Actress Patricia Heaton blasted Newsom and other government officials, releasing a video, and writing, “The primary role of government is to secure infrastructure, make sure disaster preparedness is up to date, and protect citizens from harm both criminally and otherwise. Newsome & Co have done the exact opposite. Infuriating.”

Actor Zachary Levi spoke out during a discussion with Fox News host Jesse Watters Wednesday night and declared that Gov. Gavin Newsom is responsible.

“This is just incredible mismanagement, incredibly poor leadership. I would go so far as to saying that it’s criminally negligent because, I mean, Gavin Newsom has been either the governor for five years or lieutenant governor prior to that for eight, nine years, some of the worst fires we’ve ever had in California under that watch. He clearly knows that the biggest problem that we suffer in California are these fires. And, by the way, the mudslides that follow,” Levi said.

Watch:

Filmmaker Justine Bateman declared, “Newsom is the worst governor California has ever had.”

Actor James Woods, who lost his home in the inferno, lashed out at one person who blamed the fire on climate change.

“This fire is not from “climate change,” you ignorant asshole. It’s because liberal idiots like you elect liberal idiots like Gavin Newsom and Karen Bass. One doesn’t understand the first thing about fire management and the other can’t fill the water reservoirs,” Woods wrote.

Responding to another person blaming ‘climate change,’ Woods wrote, “As the “climate change” hoax balloons ever larger in the imagination of leftist lunatics, it offers a vapid excuse for their shameful failures. And the world keeps burning and crumbling because of their wretched ineptitude. Fixed it for you.”

In another post, Woods blasted the “Democrat failure all over California.”

Celebrity fitness trainer Jillian Michaels blasted out a series of statements, recalling that she had lost her home in the 2018 Woolsey fire.

“I lost a home in the 2018 Woolley fire. Was in Cali for New Years this year and podcasts – just evacuated my mom from her California home. The mayor is apparently in Ghana. The fire departments budget was apparently cut by 17 mil. And someone made the decision to not refill some of the reservoirs – now some fire hydrants are dry. Leadership in California is beyond negligent. This is completely unacceptable,” Michaels wrote.

“In 2014 voters in California put 2.7 billion toward securing future water storage through prop 1. 2025 – not a single reservoir is complete.
Over 30,000 people have been evacuated. 1400 brave fire fighters put their lives at risk. They deserve better. This is an outrage @GavinNewsom,” she continued.

In another post, Michaels added, “California governor @GavinNewsom issues a press release admitting they knew about the insane fire risk this past Sunday because he was propositioning fire engines. And yet, he just called in the national guard a few hours ago. Pacific Palisades ran out of water at 3am. I’m so so upset for the people of California. My family who stayed. My lifelong friends who live there. Our brave firefighters. This is not a partisan issue it’s pure incompetence and misprioritization..”

“RESIGN,” Michaels demanded of Gov. Gavin Newsom.

Many other celebrities have lost their homes in the fire, including:

  • Paris Hilton
  • Billy Crystal
  • Sebastian Harrison
  • Anthony Hopkins
  • Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt
  • Billy Crystal
  • Cameron Mathison
  • Adam Brody and Leighton Meester
  • Anna Faris
  • Eugene Levy
  • John Goodman
  • Ricki Lake
  • Cary Elwes

Actor Cameron Mathison was one of the many celebrities whose home burned to the ground. He shared a video on Instagram and wrote, “We are safe. But this is what’s left of our beautiful home. Our home where our kids were raised and where they wanted to raise their own someday. Thanks to all who reached out and checked in. Can’t respond to all so wanted to give an update here. Sending so many prayers to everyone being affected by these fires🙏🏼.”

Ricki Lake shared multiple photos of their home before the fire, announcing that now it’s all gone. She wrote:

It’s all gone. 💔
I can’t believe I am typing these words.
After a valiant and brave effort by our friend and hero @kirbykotler_ Ross and I lost our dream home. This description ‘dream home’ doesn’t suffice. It was our heaven on earth. The place where we planned to grow old together. We never took our heavenly spot on the bluff overlooking our beloved malibu for granted, not even for one second. I shared our sunset 🌅 views almost daily with all of you.

This loss is immeasurable. It’s the spot where we got married 3 years ago.
I grieve along with all of those suffering during this apocalyptic event.
Praying for all of my neighbors, my friends, my community, the animals, the firefighters and first responders.
More to share soon of how we escaped with Dolly and not much else. For now I grieve. 💔💔💔
