From the Washington Free Beacon: The Department of Homeland Security recently awarded anti-terrorism grants to a Florida mosque linked to pro-terror Islamic clerics, 9/11 conspiracy theorists, and an anti-Semitic pastor who claims “the Jews” conduct “secret rituals” at holy sites in Jerusalem.
DHS gave nearly $300,000 to the Deen Center, Inc. on Jan. 31 as part of its Nonprofit Security Grant Program, according to the federal spending database USASpending. The grants to the Tampa-area mosque were approved by the Biden administration in October, according to Florida state records.
While the program—overseen by FEMA—is designed to help religious institutions protect against terrorist attacks, the Deen Center has embraced clerics, activists, and Muslim scholars who have promoted terrorist attacks against the United States and Israel and has pushed anti-Semitic tropes.
Eddie Redzovic, the founder of the Deen Center, has repeatedly featured anti-Semites on his popular YouTube channel, The Deen Show.
On the show, which boasts 1.1 million subscribers, Redzovic has interviewed prominent anti-Semitic preacher Rick Wiles, who said in an appearance on The Deen Show in November 2023 that “the Jews have been doing Freemason secret rituals beneath the Temple Mount for quite some time.”
READ MORE from the Free Beacon, as the report cites multiple radical Islamic guests hosted on The Deen Show who spew anti-Jewish propaganda.
The Deen Show also makes no secret of their positions on social media.
In a post on April 4, Redzovic wrote, “There’s no such thing as “radical Islam”, the term is meaningless and was created to push an agenda. Islam means peace achieved through submission to the will of God. Anyone who repeats this nonsense is either extremely ignorant or just an idiot.”

Another post reads: “Radical Islam.” “Jihadist.” “Islamist.” These are fear-marketing, research-tested words. Weaponized language crafted by the hate industry to dehumanize Muslims, trigger fear, and spread hate.

In one bizarre video shared by the Deen Show on X, a guest wildly claims that Rebecca in the Bible was only 3 years old when she married Isaac.

In January 2023, the Deen Show posted a video showing how their Islamic center started. They appear to have purchased a church building, then went in and ripped out all the pews. Based on photos on their website, they have since removed the steeple from the roof as well, and other buildings on the property have been converted to house an Islamic school and an athletic facility.
“The land is secured. The Masjid in Open. The Dawah Center is 90% Done,” the website reads.
The website touts their mission to educate people about Islam. “There are about 331 million people in the United States, and Muslims only take up 1.1% of the population. Which means a big portion of the population is left untouched by the teachings of Islam,” the website states.

In the last months of the Biden administration, the wheels were set in motion for the grants, and The Deen Center in Tampa is on the list for three grants totaling $442,000, according to a document. The money was reportedly dispersed on January 31, just days after President Trump took office.
The Free Beacon noted that the Biden administration awarded grants to a number of other radical Islamic centers, including $200,000 in 2022 to the Islamic Center of Detroit, whose imam has called to “eradicate from existence” the “sick, disgusting Zionist regime.”
The Islamic Center of San Diego, the home mosque of two 9/11 hijackers, also received grants under the program in 2021. The imam of this mosque had reportedly praised the October 7, 2023 Hamas attack on Israel, claiming “the resistance is justified” because of the Israeli occupation of Gaza.
Under the direction of former DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, a DHS press release on June 21, 2024 announced, in part:
Today, the United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced that it will distribute $160 million in Nonprofit Security Grant Program (NSGP) funds as a first tranche of additional funding that the Biden-Harris Administration secured to protect faith-based institutions and nonprofit organizations against targeted attacks. The announcement accompanies DHS’s release of an amended Notice of Funding Opportunity that will now enable qualifying institutions and organizations to apply for these additional NSGP funds.
The $160 million in additional funds are a portion of the $390 million that were included in the fiscal year 2024 National Security Supplemental, a key priority of the Administration as it continues to intensify its efforts to combat the dramatic increase in hate crimes and other forms of targeted violence against faith-based institutions and nonprofit organizations. In total for fiscal year 2024, the Administration has secured $664 million for the NSGP, more than double last year’s $305 million appropriation. Earlier this year, DHS announced $274.5 million in available NGSP funds and intends to make the balance of those funds available later this year.
