From WCNC Charlotte: CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A Charlotte 18-year-old is being held on a $5 million bond after being arrested in November.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department’s JADE and CGST units arrested Dai-Quan Mill on Nov. 13 based on warrants connecting him to a shooting on Redwood Drive. He was interviewed by CMPD detectives, then charged with 15 counts of shooting into an occupied dwelling, one county of felony conspiracy, one county of possession of a stolen motor vehicle, and two counts of damage to property.

Based on these charges and “his repeat offender status” from arrests on Oct. 22 and Nov. 8, CMPD said Mill is now being held on a $5 million bond.

“Repeat offenders such as Mills show a persistent disregard for the law, drain community resources and continue to endanger public safety despite prior interventions,” CMPD said in a news release.

Another $300,000 was added to the teen’s bond over additional circumstances, bringing his total bond to a whopping $5.3 million.

The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department announced the stunning details in a Facebook post this week:

Repeat offender, Dai-Quan Mills, was arrested on November 13 by our JADE and CGST units, after warrants were obtained against him in connection to a shooting on Redwood Drive. After being interviewed by our North Tryon Division Detectives, he was charged with the following:

· Shooting Into Occupied Dwelling x 15
· Felony Conspiracy
· Possession of a Stolen Motor Vehicle
· Damage to Property x 2

These charges, along with his repeat offender status, lead to him being held on a 5-million-dollar bond. While he was being held, he was served another warrant for additional Shooting Into Occupied Dwelling and Felony Conspiracy charges on November 17, where another $300,000 was added to his bond. Overall, he is currently being held on a 5.3-million-dollar bond for 16 counts of Shooting into Occupied Dwelling, 2 counts of Felony Conspiracy, 2 counts of Damage to Property and Possession of a Stolen Motor Vehicle.

These arrests are in addition to prior arrests on October 22, for Possession of a Stolen Firearm, and November 8, for Carrying a Concealed Gun and Resist, Delay, Obstruct. Repeat offenders such as Mills show a persistent disregard for the law, drain community resources and continue to endanger public safety despite prior interventions.
