California Gov. Gavin Newsom, a radical Democrat who is believed to be plotting a run for the presidency in 2028, is taking some fierce backlash over a social media exchange with billionaire Elon Musk that many say totally crossed the line.
One of Newsom’s top critics over the incident has turned out to be rapper Nicki Minaj.
It all started when Elon Musk’s America PAC posted a video of Newsom from his appearance on the Ezra Klein podcast, in which he touted his pro-trans positions and said that he “wants to see trans kids.”
The America PAC simply posted the video and quoted Newsom’s own words.
Newsom’s press office fired back, mocking Musk, who has a biological son that now identifies as a girl.
“Correct. We’re sorry your daughter hates you, Elon,” Newsom’s office snarked.
Elon fired back, writing, “I assume you’re referring to my son, Xavier, who has a tragic mental illness caused by the evil woke mind virus you push on vulnerable children. I love Xavier very much and hope he recovers.”
