Former President Donald Trump has suggested the possibility of using Bitcoin to address the United States’ $35 trillion national debt.

This idea has generated significant debate about its application. In the past, Trump had criticized Bitcoin as a scam, but he has since changed his stance and now sees potential in the cryptocurrency.

He announced at the Bitcoin 2024 conference in Nashville that he aims to make the U.S. the “crypto capital of the planet” if re-elected​.
