Former Fox News star and Trump ally Bill O’Reilly was the first to report on Twitter that Joe Biden has decided to withdraw from the 2024 presidential race due to unfavorable internal polling and a decline in fundraising. O’Reilly did not disclose his source, but his tweet conveyed a tone of strong certainty.
Suggestions for Biden’s replacement have ranged from the obvious, such as Vice President Kamala Harris, to someone with better positioning, such as Gov. Gavin Newsom, Hillary Clinton or Michelle Obama.
