Sen. JD Vance of Ohio and Gov. Tim Walz of Minnesota, both relatively new to national politics, will debate on Tuesday in the sole vice-presidential event before the November election. This follows the only debate between their presidential running mates, Trump and Harris.
Walz, previously obscure outside Minnesota, will represent the Democratic ticket as Harris’ running mate. For the Republican ticket is Vance, known for his memoir film “Hillbilly Elegy,” as he will represent Trump as his running mate.
The vice-presidential debate will last 90 minutes and kick off at 9 p.m. ET on Tuesday. Norah O’Donnell from CBS Evening News and Margaret Brennan from Face the Nation will host and moderate the event at the CBS Broadcast Center in New York City.
