President Donald Trump participated in two high-profile interviews marking his first 100 days in office, one with NBC’s Kristen Welker on Meet the Press and another with ABC’s Terry Moran.
The NBC interview covered topics like the economy, immigration, tariffs, and Trump’s cryptocurrency ventures, with Welker pressing him on due process in deportations and potential profiteering from his presidency. The ABC interview was more contentious, with Trump clashing with Moran over deportation policies, at one point saying, “I don’t trust you,” and claiming he chose Moran despite not knowing him.
Some Trump supporters criticized the interviews as a waste of time, arguing that Welker and Moran asked biased questions rooted in “fake news” narratives. Others, including conservative commentators, saw value in Trump engaging with mainstream media, believing it holds him accountable and allows him to reach across the aisle to viewers who might not otherwise hear his perspective.
We want to ask you, the reader: should Trump continue to do interviews with mainstream media? Answer in our poll below and comment your thoughts on Trump giving some of the more left-leaning outlets interview coverage.
