  1. No illegal workers! I could accept temporary, seasonal work visas allowing migrants to come during the busiest season legally. Then they must return to their country. If they wish to stay permanently, it should be done legally and they must become tax paying citizens and stay off the welfare rolls!

  2. He could give the agricultural and hospitality industries a deadline—one year?—to replace any illegals with legal employees; however, this current plan looks like amnesty to me.

  3. No promise was NO illegals!!!! …. If they go through the process and become legal then there is no problem !

  4. Yes for farmers and no to hospitality.
Bevl had a great suggestion that warrants looking into from local representatives and then carried forward.
To those who don’t understand farming and commodities; please educate yourselves in order to save the American farmers.
Someone needs to get these immigrants legalized to become productive Americans.
Right now these people send more income back to their homelands and live off our charity. Walmart can vouch for the amount of cash transfers to other countries.
Someone has to lead on compromises and I feel Trump is doing his best. It’s going to hit a lot of snags, but it needs to start somewhere.
Let’s be honest- farming is a lot of hard work and too many Americans are too soft to do it.

  5. No way is this a good idea… You can’t pick winners and losers… What will be next.. restaurant workers, grocery store workers, construction workers??? No exceptions!!! If you are here illegally, you have to go..l

  6. IMO, this is like the saying about the camel getting its nose under the tent… soon the entire beast gets in.

Bring back the Bracero program – I think Eisenhower started it along with deporting 1.5 million illegals in 6 months. Workers came to do Ag work but went home when work was done. They got no welfare. They lived in migrant camps. It worked until Democrats basically cut it off.

I spent summer breaks during high school working on a tomato harvester in northern CA. The crew was 100% Americans. During the 1950s, my mother, a public health nurse, visited migrant camps. Sometimes I went with her. I played with the kids there while she taught women about child care and nutrition. The workers were all Americans. Not a single Hispanic. They all spoke English.

Why won’t Americans do this work? IMO, it’s because the welfare system is too generous, too easy to abuse. Requiring work efforts to get Medicaid is a good start.

  7. WTF? Trump is now calli g his main bas supporters, “the radical right”. You know what Donald? Go F@@k yourself.

  8. BTW, hospitality is a huge broad brush. Aside from hotels, it could encompass restaurants, country clubs, amusement parks, shopping malls, food production, amusement parks. Illegal aliens will pull scams by crooked hospitality managers who will charge them $ to produce fake work letters vouching the illegal works in hospitaltiy; meanwhile the illegal just does his usual crap, working high paying construction-metal fab-factory assembly-landscaping. This is f’n bullshit.

I give up. I don’t blame DML from taking a break from this demonic crap DJT is crooked like the rest.

    • Henry, my last name, politics is a dirty business that takes compromise. DJT will get this taken care of in a fair manner. He is trying to find a way to help the farmers. I’m not happy with No Tax On Social Security not being in it. The VISA program could work. Let’s give it a chance. The vast majority of illegals working on the farms are not violent. If they don’t get VISAs, they go home.

  9. AND‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️
    I’m NOT a RADICAL CONSERVATIVE, MR. TRUMP‼️‼️‼️
You are about one insult away from a “FUCK YOU”‼️🧐

  10. Take a page out of Eisenhower playbook. He deported 1.3 illegals in 6 months with 750 agents. It was mainly people that came to work farming, but they decided to do things different.
It should be a BIG No to the service industry. Get American people off welfare, food stamps so they HAVE to work.
In the BBB they are hiring 3,000 agents to get illegals out. They should stay off TV and do the work.

  11. Nope, replace them with these carrier welfare recipients and the minimum wage crowd. If you only have manual labor to offer then it’s to the fields and hotels for you.

  12. Its already taking over the automotive industry. And no industry should get a pass….when we give away all our manual labor jobs, we turn into that 3rd world country. I grew up on a farm and learned work ethic from it. I am a technician….how dare you give that illegal a pass to take my job!!!!!!

  13. For anyone who was here illigally I say they have to go through vetting and be here are work visas it can not be a simple you get to stay because we need workers.
Farming is different then hospitality. What about all the other jobs that illigals take do we allow construction and landscapers also? When is enough?

    • They already have overtaken construction and landscaping. No citizen can work for as little as they charge….

  14. no. they all have to go back to wherever FIRST, then maybe we could create an organized system to allow limited foreign labor. All other options(domestic, machanical, AI, etc. should be priority to foreign labor. period.
