Iran has dismissed U.S. media reports alleging it plotted to assassinate former President Donald Trump.

A foreign ministry spokesman called the allegations “malicious,” asserting that Iran has no involvement in any recent armed attack against Trump and that the claims have political motives. However, Nasser Kanaani emphasized that Iran remains determined to prosecute Trump for ordering the assassination of IRGC commander Qassem Soleimani in 2020.

A report claimed security for Trump has increased recently due to intelligence on a potential Iranian plot to kill him, though sources were not named. National Security Council spokeswoman Adrienne Watson confirmed the intelligence is “a national and homeland security matter of the highest priority.” She also stated that the investigation into the Pennsylvania attack has not found any links between the shooter and any accomplices, foreign or domestic, though it can’t be ruled out.

We want to ask you, the reader: do you believe Iran was involved with the Trump assassination attempt? Answer in our poll below and share your thoughts on who could potentially be involved in the assassination attempt other than Thomas Matthew Crooks, the 20-year-old gunman.
