President-elect Donald Trump, set to begin his second term on January 20, 2025, has pledged bold actions when he takes over the Oval Office.
Some of these actions include mass deportations, resuming the construction of the border wall, ending birthright citizenship, boosting energy production, and imposing tariffs on foreign competitors. He also plans to end the Ukraine war, pardon January 6 rioters, and ban trans athletes from women’s sports, facing likely resistance from leftist opponents and Democrats.
This comes, however, after a massive debate on social media over the abuses of the H-1B visa program, which many Trump allies are coming out of the woodwork to support, such as Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy. Much of Trump’s supporter base is displeased with the H-1B visa system and would rather have Trump eliminate it in order to help American workers. It’s become an issue that has contentiously divided some of Trump’s most loyal followers, supporters, and even voters.
We want to ask you, the reader: with Trump coming into office, are you hopeful for 2025? Answer in our poll below and comment your thoughts on the recent H-1B visa controversy.
