From the New York Post: Alleged MS-13 member Kilmar Abrego-Garcia, who was deported by the Trump administration to El Salvador’s notorious mega-prison, was previously accused of physically abusing his wife who has been fiercely advocating for his release.
Garcia’s wife, Jennifer Vasquez, applied for a protective order against her husband in 2021, saying he punched, scratched, grabbed and bruised her, according to court documents.
The Department of Homeland Security shared Vazquez’s allegations on X, saying it’s evidence Garcia “had a history of violence and was not the upstanding ‘Maryland Man’ the media has portrayed him as.”
“According to court filings, Garcia’s wife sought a domestic violence restraining order against him, claiming he punched, scratched, and ripped off her shirt, among other harm. This MS-13 gang member is not a sympathetic figure,” DHS wrote.

The media has been featuring Jennifer Vasquez portraying her illegal alien husband as an upstanding husband and father, and has repeatedly referred to him as a “Maryland man” and a “Maryland father.”
“I will not stop fighting until I see my husband alive.”

Journalist Andy Ngo first exposed the 2021 charges against Abrego Garcia.
“Deported El Salvadoran Kilmar Abrego Garcia is portrayed as a peaceful “Maryland father.” But his wife repeatedly received emergency restraining orders for DV. Her allegations that he is dangerous are consistent with findings from prior immigration courts,” Ngo wrote.

In additional posts, Ngo revealed:
The wife of deported suspected gang terrorist Kilmar Abrego Garcia either lied to the court when she petitioned for a domestic violence protective order against him or she is lying now on the GoFundMe claiming he is an excellent husband as over $162K has poured in.
Jennifer Vasquez’s allegations of serious domestic violence by El Salvadoran deportee Kilmar Abrego Garcia were made more than once. In addition to petitioning the court successfully in 2021 for a protective order against him, Vasquez also filed and received one in 2020.

Fox News reporter Bill Melugin announced, “Maryland court documents reveal that deported Salvadoran national Kilmar Abrego Garcia’s wife, Jennifer Vasquez, petitioned for an order of protection against him in May 2021. It’s unclear if she was his wife at the time, or what the allegations were, but this is contradictory to her positive comments about him now. First scooped by @MrAndyNgo.”

Ngo slammed Democrat Rep. Chris Van Hollen (MD), who went to El Salvador Wednesday morning in a stunt to try to get Abrego Garcia out of the high security prison where he has been sent.
“Please ask Mr Garcia and his wife about the two domestic violence cases she filed against him when you next speak to them, please. You’re in regular contact with Ms Vasquez. Her allegations of him being dangerous and violent are similar to the allegations from immigration courts,” Ngo wrote.
