From Fox News: Two U.S. Coast Guard cutters snatched more than a dozen alleged illegal immigrants Wednesday off the coast of San Diego.
Just before 4:30 a.m., the crew aboard one of the cutters intercepted a 20-foot cabin-style vessel carrying 15 alleged illegal immigrants about 10 miles northwest of Point Loma, according to a news release from the Coast Guard.
There were 11 adult men and four adult women aboard the boat, all claiming Mexican nationality, according to the release.
All 15 alleged illegal immigrants were taken into custody by the Coast Guard and transferred to U.S. Border Patrol personnel.
On April 30, 2025, the crews of the USCGC Petrel (WPB-87359) and USCGC Robert Ward (WPC-1130) interdicted and apprehended 15 aliens off the coast of San Diego. All were taken into custody by the Coast Guard and transferred to U.S. Border Patrol personnel.

Last week, the Coast Guard intercepted another boatload of illegal aliens a few miles off the coast of Oceanside, California. The group consisted of 18 adult males and 1 adult female, all who said they were from Mexico.
They were all taken into custody.

Here’s one boat with two smugglers that the Coast Guard reportedly couldn’t stop, and but the CBP Air & Marine Operations nabbed them. This one turned into a wild chase before the smugglers’ boat was finally stopped:

CBP AMO announced another apprehension on the seas on Wednesday, and wrote, “On April 30, JHOC detected a vessel 2 nm west of Imperial Beach. An AMO CIV responded and interdicted the vessel containing 5 illegal aliens onboard. The illegal aliens were transferred to USBP for processing and the vessel was seized by AMO for violations of 8 USC 1324.”

Last week, CBP AMO caught another boat with four Mexican illegal aliens:
“Marine Interdiction Agents intercepted a “fishing vessel” off Mission Bay, Cali. Turns out, the catch of the day was 4 Mexican citizens attempting to illegally enter the U.S. The 4 were transported to the Chula Vista USBP Station for processing and the vessel was seized by AMO.”

The Coast Guard has also been busy intercepting drugs.
Also on Wednesday, the US Coast Guard Southeast announced, “The crew of @USCG Cutter Tampa offloaded 3,750 lbs of illicit drugs worth over $12 million interdicted in the Caribbean Sea by the crew of @USNavy USS Minneapolis-St Paul, Wed., at @PortEverglades.

On Tuesday, the Coast Guard announced: “Since January 20, 2025, the Coast Guard has seized 101,415 pounds of cocaine and 10,743 pounds of marijuana. Continuing our vigilance, we have increased operations to interdict, seize, and disrupt transshipment of cocaine and other bulk illicit drugs by sea. Our efforts are paying off. Recently, Coast Guard Cutter (CGC) Calhoun interdicted approximately 10,000 pounds of cocaine, worth an estimated $74 million.”
