Sean “Diddy” Combs has been ordered to pay $100 million in a default lawsuit after convicted felon Derrick Lee Cardello-Smith, currently in prison, accused the rapper of sexual assault.

Combs missed a virtual court appearance on Monday, prompting Judge Anna Marie Anzalone to issue the ruling, with monthly payments of $10 million starting in October, according to Variety. Cardello-Smith filed the lawsuit in June, alleging Combs drugged and assaulted him at a 1997 party. A temporary restraining order was also granted in August after Combs missed another virtual hearing.

Cardello-Smith, described in the judgment as a “Michigan inmate known for his history of filing civil lawsuits,” attended all court dates virtually, according to Variety and Fox News.

Marc Agnifilo, attorney for Combs, told Fox News Digital, “this man is a convicted felon and sexual predator, who has been sentenced on 14 counts of sexual assault and kidnapping over the last 26 years.”

He added: “His resume now includes committing a fraud on the court from prison, as Mr. Combs has never heard of him let alone been served with any lawsuit. Mr. Combs looks forward to having this judgment swiftly dismissed.”
