OUTRAGE ERUPTS as Dem leaders, media silent after release of horrific video showing woman’s slaughter on train

From the New York Post: Liberal media and politicians have been accused of staying silent on the savage murder of a young Ukrainian refugee on a North Carolina train — after a career criminal with no fewer than 14 arrests was charged with her murder.

Iryna Zarutska, 23, was stabbed to death on a light rail train in Charlotte, with horrifying surveillance footage showing the moment the unsuspecting young woman was brutally attacked.

Decarlos Brown Jr., 35, is allegedly shown pulling out a pocket knife and getting out of his seat behind Zarutska before the video cuts just as he prepares to plunge the blade into her, footage shared by police shows.

Zarutska is totally unaware of the killer behind her, fiddling with her phone as Brown allegedly unfolds the knife and prepares to attack.

After the killing, the attacker can be seen wandering through the Lynx Blue Line train — dripping blood across the floor as he carries the weapon.

The report explains that other passengers on the train appear to barely even notice that the young woman has just been horrifically slaughtered right behind them.

Meanwhile, Brown calmly removed his bloody hoodie, then waited for the train to stop before stepping off.

Conservatives are blasting mainstream media and Democrat officials for trying to suppress the horror of the attack, and noting that their reaction is the complete opposite of the attention they gave to George Floyd’s death.

Brown has at least 14 arrests on his record, but was still out free on the streets.

NC Gov. Josh Stein, a Democrat, wrote, “I am heartbroken for the family of Iryna Zarutska, who lost their loved one to this senseless act of violence, and I am appalled by the footage of her murder. We need more cops on the beat to keep people safe. That’s why my budget calls for more funding to hire more well-trained police officers. I call upon the legislature to pass my law enforcement recruitment and retention package to address vacancies in our state and local agencies so they can stop these horrific crimes and hold violent criminals accountable.”

Will Charberlain blasted Stein, writing, “What on earth are you talking about, Governor? Decarlos Brown was arrested 14 times! The police did their job. It’s your job to sign into law bills that keep career criminals in jail!”

Charlotte Mayor Vi Lyles, also a Democrat, thanked the media for not airing the video, and wrote, “The video of the heartbreaking attack that took Iryna Zarutska’s life is now public. I want to thank our media partners and community members who have chosen not to repost or share the footage out of respect for Iryna’s family. This was a senseless and tragic loss. My prayers remain with her loved ones as they continue to grieve through an unimaginable time.

“Like so many of you, I’m heartbroken — and I’ve been thinking hard about what safety really looks like in our city. I remain committed to doing all we can to protect our residents and ensure Charlotte is a place where everyone feels safe.”

Journalist Collin Rugg retorted, “You sound more angry towards people sharing the footage than you are towards the violent thug who stabbed Iryna. Bizarre.”

Rep. Brad Knott (R-NC) wrote, “The Mayor’s refusal to condemn senseless, horrific, and preventable violence is as telling as it is despicable. Violent criminals, regardless of who they are or what they look like, need to be in jail.”

Piers Morgan demanded, “Why is the disgusting, senseless, unprovoked murder of 23-year-old Ukrainian refugee Iryna Zarutska by a man named Decarlos Brown Jr. on a train in Charlotte NC not getting more media attention?!”
