From Fox News: Police confirmed multiple arrests Saturday after anti-ICE agitators were caught on video throwing trash cans and debris at officers near a government building in New York City.
The incident happened during an ongoing crackdown on illegal immigrants in Chinatown, which has spurred protests in the area for more than a month.
Officers responded to Centre and Howard streets, near the U.S. General Service Administration building in Lower Manhattan, just before noon on a report of disorderly protesters, the New York City Police Department (NYPD) told Fox News Digital.
When police arrived, they found people blocking the street and exits at different locations, the NYPD said.
The mob was seen in video footage dragging large potted plants in front of ICE vehicles, throwing trash at officers and screaming obscenities.
They also threw trash cans and recycling bins and pushed barricades against the officers.
Police were then seen pushing the potted plants and trash cans back off the streets to clear the roadway.

Another wild video shows officers trying to clear a huge amount of trash from the street so a vehicle could pass through.
NYC mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani, the Muslim Democrat Socialist who was just elected earlier this month, released a statement – not to condemn the violent mob, but to slam the ICE raid. A spokesman for Mamdani, Monica Klein, wrote:
“The Mayor-elect has made it clear – including to the president – that these raids are cruel and inhumane, and fail to advance genuine public safety. New York City’s more than three million immigrants are central to our city’s strength, vitality, and success, and the mayor-elect remains steadfast in his commitment to protecting the rights and dignity of every single New Yorker, upholding our sanctuary laws, and deescalation rather than use of unnecessary force.”

This comes after the NYPD also had to arrest multiple pro-Palestinian rioters who stormed a retail store in Manhattan on Friday, carrying signs and Palestinian flags and blowing whistles.
