ODD BEHAVIOR: D4vd mystery deepens as he suddenly breaks $20,000 lease on home raided in dead girl, 13, investigation

FROM DAILY MAIL: D4vd and his manager have abruptly broken their $20,000-a-month Hollywood Hills lease just days after police raided the property in connection with the dismembered body of a missing teenager found in his Tesla, the home’s owner has told the Daily Mail.

The remains of Celeste Rivas, who vanished in May 2024 aged 13, were discovered on September 8 in the front trunk of an impounded car registered to D4vd – real name David Anthony Burke.

The Tesla had been abandoned for days near Doheny Place and Bluebird Avenue, only blocks from a four-bedroom home rented by Burke’s manager, Josh Marshall, where the 20-year-old singer had been staying.

Police executed a search of the property on September 17 in connection with their investigation into the suspected murder of Rivas, the LAPD confirmed. They left with bags of evidence, including a laptop, but no charges have been filed in the case.

According to Mladen Trifunovic,  the owner of the home Marshall was leasing, the manager began residence in February 2024. After the raid, Marshall asked to terminate the lease, and he is now moving their personal belongings out of the house.

Trifunovic, who spoke exclusively to the Daily Mail, said, “They’ve decided to move out because of the ongoing circumstances. They didn’t want to be there anymore.”

He said he hadn’t known who Burke was, and he has not been in contact with the LAPD on the matter.

“This has all been such a big shock,” the homeowner added. “I’m still trying to process everything, and I’m anxiously waiting for the story to conclude itself… It’s very disturbing.”

In another odd connection to D4avid, Rivas was first reported missing in February 2024, the month they moved into Trifunovic’s home.

She did return to her family’s home in Lake Elsinore later that year, in May, but soon disappeared again.

Rivas’s remains were found one day after her 15th birthday in the trunk of a Tesla that had been moved to a tow yard in Hollywood. Police were called to investigate after a putrid odor was detected coming from the black Tesla Model Y. It had been impounded two days prior.

Rivas’s partial remains were discovered wrapped in plastic and severely decomposed, according to the LAPD.

When the body was discovered, Burke was traveling as he performed on his Withered World Tour. The car had not been reported stolen.

It remains unclear what type of relationship Burke had with Rivas, but it is widely believed that images of a pair that resemble Burke and Rivas have been found on social media. Investigators have not confirmed those images to the public.

According to some unnamed sources, Burke had been in a romantic relationship with Rivas, which may have started when she was just 12.

Rivas’s brother, Matthew Rivas, said his family was aware of the alleged relationship, saying Burke came to the house in the same Tesla she was later found in, and that when his sister disappeared in May 2024, she had left to see a movie with Burke.

According to Rivas’ mother, she was in a relationship with a man named David. And the girl shared a matching tattoo with Burke that said, “Shhh…” She also had the word “David” tattooed on her hand.

One source said Rivas left home because her family did not approve of her relationship with Burke.

Burke has not issued a public statement.
